8 years at GE: What a Strange, Long Trip Its Been

August 7th, 2008 · No Comments

Today I complete 8 years at GE.

I had joined GE Healthcare straight out of school after my post-graduation.  Started to work on an image management platform writing CORBA code, with Henning/Vinoski as my pillow for the all-nighters. Moved over to Milwaukee on the Edison program, wrote a bunch of code starting from management dashboards implementing 3D pivot tables to the widebore recon algorithms for CT. Came back to Bangalore working on Remote Diagnostics; finally switched over to Program Management for Image Processing applications. From which springs my fave quote (self-attributed),

Those who cannot program, run programs
