Its 4:17 am now, have been struggling since the past 1:15 mins or so. Building the latest Linux kernel from scratch. BAck at this game after a really long time. After about 9 attempts, including some aborts from yersterday, got the system to boot. Feeling like Edison. Now this customized kernel is optimized for my Intel Core Duo 2 flaunting laptop. But there’s one problem; this new “optimized” kernel of mine is .3 MB larger than what I had to start !
Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon stock kernel
Version: 2.6.22-14
Size: 1.7 MB
Shourya’s custom kernel
Version:2.6.23.9
Size: 2.0 MB
